Job Description
The Corporate Business Development Officer plays a key supporting role to the Business Development Director in driving the company’s expansion and investment agenda. The position involves preparing strategic business plans, feasibility studies, and investment proposals that align with corporate objectives.The Officer conducts market intelligence, financial analysis, and partnership coordination to ensure that all business opportunities are evaluated with strategic and financial rigor. Working collaboratively with the Legal, Finance, Technical, and Operations teams, the Officer contributes to the development and monitoring of new ventures and ensures timely preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for management and board review.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct market intelligence, financial analysis, and partnership coordination for new business opportunities
- Prepare strategic business plans, feasibility studies, and investment proposals
- Evaluate potential ventures with strategic and financial rigor to ensure alignment with corporate goals
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Technical, and Operations teams to develop and monitor new projects
- Generate reports, presentations, and documentation for management and board-level review
- Perform field validation, site visits, and attend partnership meetings as required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or Finance
- Postgraduate units or a Master's degree (MBA / DBA / MM) is an advantage
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in business development, corporate planning, feasibility analysis, investment research, or consulting
- Strong analytical and research capabilities with skill in financial modeling and valuation methods
- Proficient in PowerPoint and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Familiarity with corporate finance, market analysis, project feasibility, and strategic planning frameworks
- Exposure to real estate, infrastructure, or construction sectors preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills
- Willing to travel for field validation and site visits
