Key account manager
Position Overview
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing assigned Modern Trade retail accounts and delivering sustainable business growth through strong customer partnerships and disciplined commercial execution. The role owns the performance of assigned national retail chains, ensuring sales growth, effective promotion management, accurate forecasting and excellent retail execution while supporting Karofi's long-term expansion in the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities
Account Development
Develop strategic relationships with assigned retail chains and serve as the primary commercial contact. Build annual account plans, conduct regular business reviews and identify opportunities to expand distribution, product listings and sales performance.
Commercial Management
Lead commercial discussions covering pricing, listing opportunities, promotional activities, trade terms, display programs and annual customer plans while ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
Sales Performance
Deliver agreed sales objectives by driving sell-in, supporting sell-out initiatives, monitoring inventory health and maintaining accurate sales forecasts. Analyse business performance and recommend actions to improve revenue and profitability.
Retail Execution
Work closely with merchandising, marketing and retail teams to ensure product availability, promotional compliance, in-store visibility and successful execution of commercial initiatives.
Business Analysis & Reporting
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and business reviews. Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and improve commercial effectiveness.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Service to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements and high service standards.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Modern Trade, Key Account Management or Sales.
- Experience in consumer electronics, home appliances, consumer durable goods or related industries.
- Strong negotiation, analytical and relationship management skills.
- Existing exposure to major retail chains in the Philippines is highly preferred.
- Results-oriented, proactive and able to work effectively in a dynamic business environment.
