We are seeking an experienced Head of Central Operations with deep domain knowledge in loan processing and banking operations. The ideal candidate will lead the central operations unit, overseeing end-to-end processes for loan disbursement, servicing, compliance, reconciliation, and core banking operational efficiency.
The job is based in Makati City, Philippines.
About the role:We are seeking an experienced Head of Central Operations with deep domain knowledge in loan processing and banking operations. The ideal candidate will lead the central operations unit, overseeing end-to-end processes for loan disbursement, servicing, compliance, reconciliation, and core banking operational efficiency.
This role requires strong leadership, regulatory understanding, and transformation expertise.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the centralized operations function, with a strong focus on loan operations (retail, SME, and corporate loans).
- Ensure error-free processing and TAT adherence for loan origination, disbursement, servicing, and closure.
- Oversee back-office processing for deposits, payments, reconciliations, and clearing functions.
- Drive process automation and efficiency initiatives aligned with digital transformation goals.
- Monitor regulatory compliance related to operational processes (RBI guidelines, KYC, AML, etc.).
- Develop and monitor SOPs and SLAs with internal stakeholders (credit, legal, collections, and IT).
- Manage internal and external audits and implement recommendations in a timely manner.
- Lead and coach a high-performing operations team; establish KPIs to drive accountability.
- Collaborate closely with Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to optimize operations controls and systems.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in banking operations, with a strong focus on loan operations.
- Proven track record of managing large teams and centralized operations units.
- Strong understanding of core banking systems (CBS), loan management systems, and workflow automation tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in India (RBI, NBFCs if applicable).
- Experience in digital transformation initiatives, RPA, or business process reengineering is a plus.
