About the Role
Our client, a leading global events organization, is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Sales Executive to join a dynamic sales team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and has a passion for driving new business.
As a Sales Executive, you will promote a portfolio of international exhibitions, conferences, and business events across multiple industries. You will be responsible for engaging prospective and existing customers, converting leads into event registrations and exhibitors, and achieving individual sales and revenue targets.
The role requires adaptability, as you will support multiple events throughout the year across a variety of industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Generate new business opportunities by promoting exhibitions, conferences, and related event offerings to prospective and existing customers.
- Convert qualified leads into confirmed event attendees, exhibitors, and customers.
- Develop relationships with prospective exhibitors by understanding their business objectives and demonstrating the value of participating in industry events.
- Follow up with leads through personalized communication to nurture interest and maximize conversion opportunities.
- Promote additional event offerings, including conference sessions, educational programs, sponsorships, digital solutions, and other value-added opportunities.
- Guide customers through the registration process, including payment assistance and resolving basic registration-related inquiries.
- Provide accurate information regarding event schedules, pricing, conference programs, and participation options.
- Maintain accurate customer records by updating contact details and interaction history within the CRM system.
- Generate new sales leads by identifying potential customers, expanding business networks, and growing marketing subscriber databases.
- Manage sales campaigns across multiple events while maintaining an organized and up-to-date sales pipeline.
- Build long-term relationships with customers by understanding their business needs and recommending suitable event participation opportunities.
- Sell effectively to senior-level decision-makers and key business stakeholders.
- Meet and exceed individual sales, revenue, and activity targets.
- Maintain expected outbound sales activity, including daily call time and effective customer conversations.
- Prepare accurate sales updates, revenue forecasts, pipeline reports, and productivity reports for management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting and successful event delivery.
Qualifications
Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)- Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
- Proven experience in outbound B2B sales, with a consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated end-to-end sales experience, from prospecting and lead generation through discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, closing, and post-sale follow-up.
- Strong background in consultative selling, with the ability to conduct effective discovery conversations, understand customer business needs, and recommend value-driven solutions.
- Experience selling to business customers and engaging with senior-level decision-makers across various industries.
- Excellent telephone and virtual selling skills, with confidence in cold calling, lead nurturing, and relationship building.
- Proven ability to manage a healthy sales pipeline while handling multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Experience in the B2B exhibitions, conferences, events, media, or related industries is highly desirable.
- Experience selling exhibition space, conference passes, sponsorships, digital marketing solutions, or similar commercial offerings is an advantage.
- Excellent customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with advanced English proficiency.
- Results-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-oriented sales environment.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
