IT MANAGER
Job Purpose
The IT Manager is responsible for the planning, organizing, and execution of all IT-related tasks within the organization. This leadership role supports management controls and decision-making activities related to business essentials. Furthermore, the IT Manager supervises IT Specialists to carry out client support and works closely with different department heads and personnel to develop proactive results and attain shared objectives.
Responsibilities- Systems & Network Administration
- Ensure the continuous, secure, and optimal performance of the organization’s digital infrastructure and databases.
- Conduct daily routine inspections to ensure the proper usage of IT resources.
- Perform daily monitoring and recording of internet bandwidth throughput across all covered department areas.
- Update in-house system software based on user needs and requirements.
- Monitor the database backup of all servers on a regular basis.
- Strategic IT Planning & Innovation
- Align IT infrastructure with the long-term business goals of the Velez Group through continuous research and strategic implementation.
- Analyze business needs to recommend technical solutions and ensure the efficient administration of IT equipment and services.
- Maintain the effectiveness of support systems and deliver strategic IT plans and policies.
- Conduct research on new technologies and best practices as needed.
- Participate in all hardware and software evaluations related to the organization's IT needs.
- IT Support & Team Leadership
- Lead the IT Support team to deliver swift, effective technical resolutions to all internal
- stakeholders.
- Oversee the daily workload assignments of the IT specialists.
- Promptly attend to calls regarding IT problems and concerns from all stakeholders.
- Asset, License & Compliance Management
- Maintain strict accountability, documentation, and compliance for all hardware and software assets across the organization.
- Create and manage documentation for asset transfer accountability to employees.
- Document damaged IT resources and maintain accurate records regarding software licenses, warranties, and service agreements.
- Produce essential reports requested by other stakeholders monthly.
Internal & External Linkages
To successfully execute these operations, the IT Manager will consistently collaborate with:
- CVGH: Admin, Information and Admitting, and other staff (BO, Nurses, Biomed, Doctors).
- VCI & CIM: Admin, Registrar, Accounting, Librarian, Dean, and Faculty.
- Cross-Entity: Maintenance Personnel (CVGH/VCI), HRD (CVGH, VCI, CIM, VSSU), CI Manager (VSSU), and the VP-Administration.
- Printer Technicians: InkPro, New Dachie, CBX.
- Laptop Technicians: All respective suppliers for warranty claims.
Qualifications & Personnel Specifications Category
Requirements
Education:
- Any Computer-related course, preferably a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT).
Experience:
- At least 5 years of extensive professional experience in the IT field.
Technical Core Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in Database Administration, Network Administration, and System Administration.
Additional Background:
- Practical background in Programming, Web Design, and Hospital Operations is highly required to support the varied needs of the organization.
