About the Role:
Staff Outsourcing Solutions, together with its sister company eComia, is seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to lead our in-house IT department. The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, systems, and networks of both organizations, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient technology operations across all locations.
This leadership role involves managing a team of IT Specialists and ensuring the team is aligned with the strategic goals of both Staff Outsourcing Solutions and eComia. The IT Manager will also play a key role in safeguarding data, enforcing cybersecurity protocols, and driving digital transformation initiatives within the companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Team & Project Management- Lead and mentor a team of IT Specialists responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving all IT systems and services.
- Plan and manage IT-related projects, including infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and implementation of new technologies.
- Develop and enforce IT operational policies and procedures to ensure consistent, efficient support across departments.
- Coordinate IT support for day-to-day operations, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution of technical issues.
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and upgrades of servers, network hardware, cloud environments, and end-user devices.
- Ensure high availability and performance of IT infrastructure including email systems, internal communication tools, productivity suites, and databases.
- Manage inventory of IT hardware and software assets and recommend procurement or upgrades as needed.
- Develop and implement company-wide cybersecurity policies and protocols to protect against internal and external threats.
- Ensure secure network access, firewall configuration, data backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and apply necessary safeguards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, government regulations, and internal security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS, data privacy laws, ISO standards, etc.).
- Work closely with leadership teams to align IT strategy with business goals and growth initiatives.
- Support cross-departmental software integrations, upgrades, and adoption of digital tools.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate and manage third-party IT services and tools.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions that drive efficiency, scalability, and security.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, systems architecture, licensing, and support logs.
- Prepare regular reports on system performance, incidents, risk assessments, and IT budgets.
- Monitor and control IT-related expenditures and ensure cost-efficiency in IT operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA Security+, Cisco, Microsoft, or AWS) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience managing a team and leading IT projects from planning to implementation.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, virtualization, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools, including familiarity and practical use of the command line or any Linux shells.
- Hands-on experience in working with Fortinet FortiGate NGFW appliances
- Strong knowledge on Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure resource management and Windows Server 2019+.
- Excellent problem-solving, written and spoken English communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in working with both in-house and cloud-based systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace).
- Familiarity with compliance standards and data protection regulations.
