Sirva is now seeking Freight Support Coordinator to support our international clients and be part of the team in the Philippines.

This role requires flexibility to shift times and offers a hybrid working model with work from home available.

Position Summary

The Freight Desk Support Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and tracking international shipments, ensuring the smooth movement of goods by managing information within the Commercial Moving system, responding to customer inquiries regarding their shipments, and coordinating with various transportation companies to facilitate timely deliveries locally, regionally, and across borders.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipment Management:

  • Monitor the progress of shipments from origin to destination, including customs clearance and documentation
  • Track shipment status through the Commercial Moving system, updating relevant details and notifying customers of any delays or changes
  • Coordinate with transportation providers to arrange pick-up, delivery, and any necessary transfers
  • Resolve any issues that may arise during transit, such as customs delays or discrepancies
  • Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure smooth customs clearance and compliance with international regulations
  • Coordinate with warehouse facilities for storage and handling of items, if needed

Customer Service:

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipment status, tracking information, and documentation requirements
  • Provide timely updates and address concerns related to the shipping processes
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve customer issues efficiently

Data Management:

  • Enter shipment details accurately into the Commercial Moving system, including relevant dates, tracking information, and miscellaneous notes relating to the shipment
  • Generate necessary shipping documents, such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Slips, and other documentation relevant to the shipment
  • Maintain detailed records of shipment history and related correspondence

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of international shipping procedures and customs regulations
  • Proficiency in logistics software and data entry
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization
  • Experience in freight forwarding or international logistics preferred
