Accounting Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Presents recommendations to management on short-term and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Ensures compliance with government requirements.
• Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
• Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, mid-year, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
• Keeping informed about the latest developments in the accounting or finance industry.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

• Must be a graduate of BS Accountancy and must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• At least five (5) years of solid experience in the same industry is preferred.
• Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
• Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks, delegate duties and manage a team effectively.
