Accounting Associate

ROLE PURPOSE

The Accounting Associate reports to the Accounting and Finance Assistant Manager.

• Assist the Team Leader and Accounting Manager with the day to day, monthly, quarterly and year-end operations of the Accounting/ Finance Department.
• Perform the processing and recording of local and foreign accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
• Perform the processing recording of cash receipts and assist in credit limit review of customers using an internal credit system and insurance company portal
• Preparation of bank recon
• Preparation of Debit note and Credit note
• Prepares monthly schedules of accounts and other accounting reports
• Assists in preparation of BIR tax returns and requirements for audit
• Assists in the preparation of external auditor requirements
• Other duties that will be assigned

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel)
• Experience in using SAP ERP 6.00 or SAP Hana 4 is an advantage
• Hands-on detail-oriented tasks.
• Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization.
• High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
• Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in accounting and keep current with developments and trends. Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
