JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for leading the maintenance, improvement, and optimization of the organization’s network infrastructure while supporting end-user devices and overseeing the setup, operation, inventory management, deployment, and troubleshooting of IT peripherals such as printers, scanners, routers, switches, and related equipment.

This role plays a key part in enhancing network reliability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position also ensures accurate asset control, efficient device deployment, minimized downtime, and timely technical support, while providing more advanced technical support for IT operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, configure, maintain, and optimize network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and structured cabling connections.
  • Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and device availability, and troubleshoot connectivity issues related to internet access, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network security incidents.
  • Administer IP addressing, network segmentation, VLAN configuration, and user access controls to support secure and efficient network operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, firmware updates, backup of network configurations, and documentation of network diagrams, device settings, and incident resolutions.
  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
  • Perform installation, setup, maintenance, and replacement of hardware components and peripheral devices as needed.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage inventory of IT assets, network equipment, and peripherals, including asset tagging, stock monitoring, documentation of configurations and warranties, and ensuring accurate deployment records.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for internet services, repairs, and equipment procurement when necessary.
  • Implement and follow IT policies, preventive maintenance schedules, and security best practices for devices and network access.
  • Process onboarding and offboarding activities by preparing, deploying, retrieving, and reassigning user devices, peripherals, accounts, and workstation connectivity.
  • Prepare reports and documentation on support of tickets, recurring issues, asset status, and network-related incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT support, network administration, or hardware/peripherals support.
  • Strong working knowledge of network setup, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and internet troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripheral devices.
  • Experience in IT asset inventory management, including asset tagging, stock control, deployment tracking, and maintaining accurate records of hardware and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, antivirus tools, and remote support applications.
  • Knowledge of basic cybersecurity practices, user access management, and device protection standards.
  • Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple support requests effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent is an advantage.
