IT Specialist
About the role
LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP. is seeking an IT Specialist to join our growing technology team. This is a full-time position based in Manila City, Metro Manila, where you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting our organisation's network and systems infrastructure.As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our IT systems, which are essential to our manufacturing operations and business continuity. This role is fundamental to our digital infrastructure and directly supports our mission to deliver excellence in steel manufacturing.
What you'll be doing- Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, networks, and peripheral devices across the organisation
- Monitoring network performance and system health to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, responding to IT service requests in a timely manner
- Managing user accounts, access permissions, and security protocols to ensure data protection and system security
- Performing regular system backups, updates, and patches to maintain system integrity and compliance
- Documenting network configurations, system changes, and IT procedures for reference and compliance purposes
- Collaborating with IT team members and other departments to identify technology needs and implement solutions
- Ensuring compliance with IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to manufacturing operations
- Proven experience in networks and systems administration within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, routers, and switches
- Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux server operating systems
- Experience with system monitoring tools and helpdesk ticketing systems
- Sound understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
- Professional certification in IT systems or networks (CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent) is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems or industrial IT environments is advantageous
