Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the general insurance space. This role focuses on building a strong client pipeline, expanding market presence, and delivering tailored insurance solutions aligned with client needs.

The ideal candidate is commercially driven, relationship-focused, and experienced in navigating the insurance or brokerage landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Generation
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate and SME segments
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients and partnerships
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles—from prospecting to deal closure
Client Relationship Management
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
  • Conduct client presentations, proposals, and negotiations
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention
Market Intelligence & Strategy
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities
  • Provide insights to support product positioning and business strategy
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align offerings with market demand
Operational Coordination
  • Work closely with underwriting, claims, and support teams to ensure smooth deal execution
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation and compliance requirements
  • Maintain updated records of sales activities and pipeline in tracking systems
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development within the insurance or brokerage industry
  • Strong understanding of general insurance products and market practices
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Canva or similar tools is an advantage
  • Willing to work onsite in Makati
