HR SPECIALIST - COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Job Summary:

The HR Specialist for Compensation and Benefits is responsible for administering, monitoring, and improving the company’s total rewards programs, including payroll processing, government-mandated benefits, company-specific incentives, and compensation benchmarking.

This role ensures compliance with Philippine labor laws and helps enhance employee satisfaction through fair and effective rewards systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Compensation:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of salary structures and pay scales.
  • Conduct regular market benchmarking and internal equity analysis.
  • Support performance-based salary reviews and adjustments.
  • Prepare and analyze compensation reports to support management decisions.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer government-mandated benefits: SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR tax requirements.
  • Manage enrollment, loans, and claims related to SSS, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth.
  • Oversee company-provided benefits such as HMO, group insurance, and other wellness programs.
  • Coordinate with benefit providers and monitor utilization and renewal processes.

Payroll Coordination:

  • Coordinate with Accounting for accurate and timely salary disbursement.
  • Monitor attendance, overtime, and leave records for payroll input.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deductions and contributions.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Maintain and update employee records related to compensation and benefits.
  • Ensure company policies are aligned with DOLE regulations.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements for internal and external agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant HR experience in compensation and benefits in the Philippines.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, compensation trends, and statutory benefits.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and HRIS systems.
  • Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with government online portals (SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, BIR).
  • Familiarity with HMO administration and employee wellness programs.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
