A Leasing Coordinator provides administrative and operational support in the leasing process of properties. They handle tasks such as generating and managing rental listings, guiding prospective tenants through the leasing process, coordinating property viewings, and managing lease agreements.
Job Description:
- Support leasing activities: Assist in preparing lease agreements, processing applications, scheduling lease signings, and managing tenant onboarding to ensure a smooth leasing process.
- Track lease compliance: Monitor tenant adherence to lease terms such as rent payment deadlines, contract expirations, property usage guidelines, and maintenance responsibilities, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain leasing records: Accurately update and organize lease files, tenant information, payment histories, and correspondence for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
- Coordinate operational needs: Collaborate with maintenance, security, and cleaning teams to address tenant requests, coordinate repairs, and ensure property standards are consistently met.
- Support tenant relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for tenants, addressing concerns, facilitating communication, and promoting tenant satisfaction and retention.
- Monitor lease payments: Track rent collections, issue reminders for overdue payments, coordinate with finance teams on delinquencies, and assist in resolving payment disputes.
- Conduct area checks: Regularly inspect common areas, individual units, and facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, or lease violations.
- Assist with leasing guidelines: Help update leasing policies, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and train new staff on leasing procedures and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree: educational background in business, real estate, or a related field is preferred to understand industry practices and institutional leasing protocols.
- Years of Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Leasing or a related role
- Relevant experience: Previous experience in leasing, property management, or real estate operations within an institutional or corporate setting is an advantage to quickly adapt to organizational standards and procedures.
- Organizational skills: Strong ability to manage multiple leases and maintain detailed documentation accurately and efficiently in a structured institutional environment.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with tenants, institutional stakeholders, colleagues, and vendors.
- Teamwork and independence: Capable of working autonomously while collaborating effectively with diverse teams within the institution.
- Detail-oriented: Meticulous approach to managing records, payments, and tenant requests, with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving in compliance with institutional policies.
