Inventory and Cost Accountant (Calamba)

Job Description:

• Responsible for the successful completion of relevant period-end activities and for the accurate, reliable, and timely accounting of inventory, production, material usages costing, and proper valuation of inventories.
• Prepares and consolidates inventory-related reports for management purposes
• Represents Finance in periodic inventory stock takes providing check and balance, and performs inventory reconciliation and analysis to help ensure reliability of balances.

Job Scope:

• Performs product costing and related activities, which include: (a) monthly actual production costing including review of the regular material balancing exercise, (b) cost variance analysis including yield and class B analyses, (c) tolling costs review, (d) costs estimates preparation, contribution margin and other sensitivity analysis (e) landed costs estimation. These cover all or combination of inventories for Roll-forming plants.
• Represents Finance in periodic inventory stock takes providing check and balance, and performs inventory reconciliation and analysis to ensure reliability of balances.
• Prepares inputs for budget development including material cost, and fixed and semi-variable costs.
• Attends to and provides requirements of auditors during audits.
• Performs other duties as instructed by immediate superior.

Minimum Qualifications:

• College graduate with a degree in Finance, major in Accounting or equivalent.
• At least with 3 year experience in inventory and cost accounting, reporting or external audit, variance analysis.
• Knowledge of internal controls and relevant business processes would be an advantage.
• Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
