Job Responsibilities
As the Cost Accountant Specialist, you will be responsible for the precise financial tracking of our food production and wholesale distribution, ensuring that every ingredient and finished product is accounted for. Your duties include:
- F&B Costing: Execute detailed cost accounting for food and beverage products, including recipe costing (yield analysis) and landed cost for imported Italian goods.
- Inventory Control: Manage and reconcile inventory for perishable and non-perishable goods, ensuring accuracy in stock levels and valuation.
- Data Metrics & Analytics: Perform data gathering and analytics to monitor the Profit & Loss (P&L) specifically for the Pastry, Chocolate, and Gelato teams.
- Operational Excellence: Support Quality Control and Assurance by ensuring financial processes adhere to food industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Audit & Compliance Readiness: Prepare documentation for Finance Department assessments, including records for BIR compliance, fiscal year-end, and accruals.
- Reporting: Document and prepare reports on Wages and Headcount Control for the commissary and monitor the financial performance of ongoing F&B projects.
- Process Improvement: Identify and resolve reconciliation discrepancies to maintain sound financial records and audit readiness.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Experience: At least 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the Food and Beverage (F&B) or Manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Cost Accounting, specifically for inventory with shelf-life (FIFO/FEFO), and Profit & Loss analysis.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Proficient in accounting principles, financial regulations, and BIR rules and regulations.
- Software Mastery: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel (metrics and data analysis).
- Setup: Must be willing to work Onsite in Makati City. Preference is given to residents of Makati or nearby areas.
- Attributes: Highly organized with strong attention to detail, especially regarding unit costs and technical data.
