Procurement and Category Supervisor

Support the overall category management function, ensuring effective execution of category and procurement operations across assigned medical and clinical areas.
  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision, coaching, and performance support to Procurement and Category Associates.
  • Oversee category operations, including contract tracking, supplier onboarding, data integrity, and reporting activities.
  • Act as a key support partner to internal stakeholders, addressing category‑related inquiries, supplier issues, and operational escalations.
  • Support sourcing activities such as RFPs, bids, contract reviews, and supplier negotiations within healthcare categories.
  • Monitor workload distribution, timelines, and deliverables to ensure consistent service levels and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, finance, and accounts payable teams to resolve PO, invoicing, and reconciliation issues.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support standardisation across category and procurement operations.

Ideal CandidateNon‑Negotiables
  • Healthcare background is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement, category management, or healthcare supply chain roles.
  • Prior experience supporting category management and procurement operations in regulated healthcare environments.
  • Strong exposure to clinical or medical categories.
  • Proven ability to support or supervise junior team members in an operational or functional capacity.
Strongly Preferred
  • Background from pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, diagnostics providers, laboratories, or large clinic networks.
  • Experience working in vendor‑heavy, enterprise environments with complex SKUs.
  • Hands‑on use of enterprise ERP systems (e.g. Workday, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong stakeholder communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).
Role Set‑Up & Work Arrangement
  • Shift: Full night shift, 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM (PHT)
  • First 3 Months: 100% on‑site during training and stabilisation period
  • After Training: Transition to a hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days per week on‑site; remaining days work from home), subject to steady‑state performance
