Job Summary:

The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing, baking, decorating, and presenting a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, and other baked goods. This role ensures high-quality products are produced consistently while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, breads, cookies, desserts, and other baked products according to recipes and quality standards.
Design and decorate cakes, pastries, and specialty desserts for display and customer orders.
Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and quality.
Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product appearance to achieve desired results.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies and report replenishment needs.
Minimize food waste through proper planning, storage, and production practices.
Train and supervise pastry assistants or kitchen staff when required.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality, freshness, and presentation standards are met.
Assist in planning production schedules to meet customer demand and special orders.

Nigh shift duty.

Qualifications/Requirements

Has experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert presentation.
Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.
Creativity and attention to detail in pastry design and decoration.

Good attitude.
