PASTRY CHEF

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Degree in Pastry Arts, Baking and Pastry, Culinary Arts, or a related field from a recognized culinary institution.
• Food Safety and Hygiene Certification) is preferred.
• Advanced training in confectionery or dessert presentation is an advantage.
• Expertise in pastry production and decoration.
• Team supervision and training.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Oversees the production and presentation of all pastry items in alignment with established recipes, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Ensure all raw materials/ingredients are readily available for staff to have a continuous flow of work, with no delays.
• Ensure all raw materials received are of good quality.
• Coordination with operations and hotels regarding needs for pastries.
• Keep inventory at the right level, and monitor daily production batches and yields.
• Ensure briefing and training are conducted daily.
• Ensure proper inputs in staff HRIS to avoid salary discrepancy
• Check cleanliness in each section. Schedule areas that need thorough cleaning, especially equipment.
