About the Role
The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding industry-specific accounts, and developing long-term client relationships. The role focuses on generating qualified leads, conducting client consultations, preparing business proposals, and converting opportunities into successful business partnerships.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with technical and business teams to deliver customized technology solutions while managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to account development.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development & Sales
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across target industries
- Generate sales leads and convert prospects into long-term clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Conduct client presentations and participate in sales meetings and negotiations
- Support business expansion initiatives and strategic account development
- Client Consultation & Solution Selling
- Conduct client needs assessments and understand business requirements
- Recommend appropriate IT solutions and services based on customer needs
- Prepare business proposals, quotations, and solution presentations
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop customized client solutions
- Account & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate client records and sales pipeline updates
- Monitor account segmentation, sales opportunities, and client communications
- Prepare monthly, annual, and pipeline reports
- Track sales performance and contribute to revenue growth initiatives
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with technical consultants, implementation teams, and management throughout the sales cycle
- Coordinate accreditation requirements, client documentation, and administrative processes
- Support billing coordination and accounts receivable documentation when required
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or any related discipline
- At least three (3) years of experience in Business Development, Account Management, Sales, or a similar client-facing role
- Preferably with experience in an IT services, technology solutions, systems integration, software, cloud, or managed services environment
- Proven experience in B2B sales and new business acquisition
- Experience conducting client presentations and negotiating commercial agreements
- Experience preparing business proposals and managing the sales pipeline
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and consultative selling skills
- Experience working with CRM systems and sales productivity tools is an advantage
