Job Summary

The Business Development & Marketing Officer is primarily responsible for driving business growth through strategic business development initiatives and marketing programs that increase brand awareness, generate leads, and strengthen client relationships.

The role also oversees the planning and execution of both internal company events and client-facing events to support employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, digital platforms, and market research.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Prepare business proposals, quotations, presentations, and contracts.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close business deals while ensuring long-term client relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales pipeline and achieve established business development targets.
  1. Marketing
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Plan and implement marketing campaigns across digital, print, and traditional channels.
  • Manage the company's social media platforms, website content, and marketing calendar.
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing campaign performance and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate branding initiatives, advertising activities, and promotional campaigns to strengthen brand awareness.
  • Create and oversee the production of marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and brand communications.
  • Serve as the brand steward by ensuring the consistent and appropriate use of the company's official logos, brand identity, and visual standards across all communication and marketing materials, including websites, social media, printed collateral, presentations, merchandise, uniforms, event materials, and other branded assets.
  • Review and approve the use of company logos and branding on internal and external materials to ensure compliance with established brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to maintain a consistent and professional corporate image across all platforms and touchpoints.
  1. Client Events & Corporate Event Management
  • Plan and coordinate client-facing events including exhibits, expos, business forums, networking events, seminars, conferences, and promotional activities.
  • Plan and coordinate internal company events in collaboration with the Human Resources (HR) Department, including employee engagement activities, town halls, team-building events, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and corporate celebrations.
  • Ensure both client-facing and internal events align with the company's brand, culture, business objectives, and employee engagement goals.
  • Ensure client events support lead generation, customer retention, and brand visibility.
  • Coordinate with clients, venues, vendors, exhibitors, sponsors, event partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.
  • Manage event logistics, registrations, programs, budgets, and on-site execution.
  • Ensure all events deliver a professional, high-quality experience that reflects the company's brand and values.
  • Prepare post-event reports, evaluate outcomes, and recommend improvements for future events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in Business Development, Marketing, Events Management, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, client acquisition, and relationship management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, networking, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media management is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Creative, proactive, results-driven, and customer-focused.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, Meta Business Suite, CRM systems, and other marketing tools.
