Chief Data Officer

The Chief Data Officer is primarily responsible for overseeing the processes the Bank uses to collect, manage, and store data. By designing and implementing the company’s data storage solutions, establishing strategies for data analytics projects, and collaborating with other senior leaders to understand and achieve the bank’s goals guided by innovations and emerging trends in data.

Responsible for the following:

• Design, implement and manage the Bank’s data warehouses to support the bank’s requirement and goals.
• Supports all functions in the bank, for data and reporting related requests.
• Establish and implement strategies and roadmaps for data analytics projects and solutions.
• Participate in group data committees and responsible to manage the data governance in the bank as per the regulatory and group standard.
• Supports all presentations with data requests including but not limited to BSP, local and regional CIMB executives, partners, and other parties as and when needed.
• Supports all business and marketing campaign management and tracking, recommend improvement based on analysis, wherever required.
• Collaborate with all the business stakeholders to understand the Bank’s needs and objectives.
• Oversee the effectiveness of data-related projects and determine their impact on the company’s goals.
• Support data quality, management and governance activities including management of PH data governance committee.
• Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the company’s data by implementing data privacy policies.
• Lead, and manage the team of data scientists, analysts, and data engineers.
• In addition, lead the Insurance and Investment product vertical to

o Drive strategy, growth and profitability of insurance and investment products

o Develop and manage product portfolio, ensuring compliance and customer suitability

o Drive sales working with internal stakeholders and partners

o Lead the product team for Insurance and investments and collaborate across the bank to deliver business results

• Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job, preferably in data, computer science, mathematics, or statistics.
• A master’s degree is preferred At least five (10) years of experience in a data management role.
• At least five (10) years of experience in a leadership position in a banking role in an established financial institution. Exposure in a telecoms or network company in the asia pacific region, a plus.
• Knowledge in Cloud data services, a plus
• At least five (10) years in data models and data engineering tools.
• At least five (10) years of experience in Data governance and data quality controls.
• He/she must be fit and proper for the position, and in this regard, the following shall be considered:

• He/she must be a member of good standing in the relevant industry, business or professional organization.
• Proven ability to establish internal and external relationships across all levels
