About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist with hands-on experience in Australian payroll to manage end-to-end payroll processing and ensure full compliance with Australian statutory requirements. This role will work closely with HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), 40 hours per week, overtime may be required when needed. Schedules are subject to change based on the needs of the operation.

What you’ll do
  • Process end-to-end Australian payroll (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly) with high accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Fair Work regulations, ATO requirements, and relevant awards/EAs
  • Calculate and process wages, overtime, penalties, allowances, bonuses, and deductions
  • Manage superannuation, PAYG withholding, payroll tax, and other statutory contributions
  • Handle payroll for new hires, resignations, terminations, and final pay calculations
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in payroll systems
  • Reconcile payroll reports and support monthly and year-end reporting
  • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and stakeholders
  • Support audits and ensure payroll controls and documentation are in place
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance on payroll-related processes and improvements
What You Bring
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of dedicated experience in Australian payroll. (Candidates with 2–3 years of experience may be considered if they possess direct experience with TwoCloud9 and Salesforce) .
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Fair Work, ATO compliance, and superannuation
  • System Adaptability: While training is provided, a high degree of system adaptability is essential. Prior experience with Salesforce or TwoCloud9 is a significant advantage.
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting payroll for multi-entity or multi-state Australian operations
  • Background working in a fast-paced or scaling environment
  • Exposure to payroll audits or system implementations
