The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing for a high-volume workforce, including riders, warehouse staff, and administrative employees. This role ensures accurate and timely salary computation, compliance with government regulations, and proper handling of payroll-related concerns in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process end-to-end payroll for employees, including riders, drivers, sorters, and office staff for both headquarters and branches.
- Compute salaries, overtime, incentives, commissions, and deductions (loans, penalties, attendance-related adjustments).
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in payroll systems.
- Ensure compliance with government statutory requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR)
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and mandatory contributions
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Coordinate with HR, Operations, and Finance teams regarding attendance, scheduling, and compensation concerns
- Monitor attendance and timekeeping systems, especially for shifting and field-based employees
- Assist in payroll audits and ensure documentation is complete and compliant
- Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems
- Perform other tasks as may be assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
- At least 2–4 years of payroll experience, preferably in logistics, e-commerce, or high-volume manpower environments.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll regulations, taxation, and labor laws.
- Experience in courier, logistics, or delivery companies (Advantage but not required).
- Experience handling large workforce payroll (300+ employees) is highly preferred.
- Proficient in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables).
- Experience with timekeeping systems and shift-based workforce management.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to coordinate and work effectively with HR, finance, and other departments.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Can work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment .
