Job Description – Business Development Officer (with Tax or Finance Services Background)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development & Client Acquisition
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in tax advisory, compliance. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients, government agencies, and internal tax teams to identify opportunities and provide value-driven solutions., and consulting services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies (e.g., BIR), and industry partners.
  • Work with the marketing and sales teams to create strategies that promote tax-related services.
  • Conduct client meetings and presentations to introduce customized tax solutions.
  1. Tax Advisory & Compliance Support
  • Provide initial tax consultations to potential clients regarding compliance, assessments, and strategic tax planning.
  • Stay updated on Philippine tax regulations, BIR policies, and industry trends to identify business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal tax teams to develop tailored tax solutions for clients.
  1. Revenue Growth & Sales Strategy
  • Develop sales and pricing strategies for tax-related services.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to enhance tax service offerings and ensure competitiveness in the market.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure business targets are met or exceeded.
  1. Market Research & Industry Analysis
  • Conduct market research to assess demand for tax services and competitive landscape.
  • Analyze client needs and provide recommendations for improving tax service offerings.
  • Identify and recommend new areas of taxation services and business expansion.
  1. Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with the Tax Department, Legal Team, and Finance Teams to align tax services with business goals.
  • Prepare business development reports, client engagement summaries, and financial projections.
  • Ensure all tax-related business initiatives comply with regulatory and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A background in Taxation, Tax Compliance, or Tax Advisory is preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, tax advisory, or tax compliance.
  • Experience working with BIR audits, tax assessments, and client tax consultations.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through tax-related business strategies.

Technical & Soft Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and corporate tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, tax software, and CRM tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
