International Procurement & Import Officer

About the Company

We are a growing furniture company under Arquee Corporation, specializing in premium furniture solutions for residential, commercial, hospitality, and office developments. We are seeking an experienced International Procurement & Import Officer to manage global sourcing, international procurement, import operations, and Philippine customs compliance.

Position Details
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Work Setup: On-site
  • Work Location: MOA Complex, Pasay City
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Director / Owner
Job Responsibilities
  • Source and coordinate with international furniture manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Manage supplier accreditation, quotations, negotiations, and purchase orders.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with overseas suppliers.
  • Coordinate production schedules and shipment timelines with international suppliers.
  • Manage end-to-end import operations from purchase order to warehouse delivery.
  • Prepare and review import documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and other shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and overseas suppliers to ensure timely shipment and delivery.
  • Manage customs clearance with the Philippine Bureau of Customs and ensure compliance with all import regulations, duties, taxes, permits, and documentary requirements.
  • Liaise with the Bureau of Customs and other government agencies to facilitate the timely release of imported shipments.
  • Monitor shipment schedules, container movements, and import status.
  • Verify shipping costs, import duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and logistics expenses.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, Sales, and Operations to ensure timely product availability.
  • Resolve shipment delays, customs issues, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Prepare procurement, import, cost, and shipment status reports for the Director / Owner.
  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen procurement, import, and customs operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in international procurement, import operations, customs clearance, or global supply chain.
  • Experience in the furniture, home furnishings, interior fit-out, construction materials, trading, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Bureau of Customs regulations, import compliance, international shipping documentation, and freight forwarding.
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers, customs brokers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and effectively support the Director / Owner.
