Technician
Job description:
The Technician Specialist is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). The role ensures all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain electrical systems, control panels, and equipment
Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults, including motors, drives, and control circuits
Program, operate, and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
Diagnose issues using electrical diagrams, schematics, and testing tools
Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes
Assist in system upgrades, commissioning, and testing of new equipment
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service reports
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians for project execution
Provide technical support and training to junior staff when needed
Qualifications:
Graduate of Electrical Technology, Electronics, or related field
With proven experience in electrical systems and VFD operation/troubleshooting
Knowledge of PLC systems is an advantage
Familiar with electrical diagrams, wiring, and industrial automation
Ability to use testing instruments (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, etc.)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Willing to work on-site and respond to emergency repairs if required
Can drive 4 wheels (manual / automatic) with Driver license.
