A. Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Engineering background is highly preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, plant operations, or production management, preferably within the metal, iron, hardware, construction materials, or related industries.
- At least 3-5 years of managerial or supervisory experience in plant or production operations.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Managing production personnel, warehouse teams, and logistics staff
- Coordinating production planning and dispatch operations
- Monitoring production efficiency and plant performance
- Handling manufacturing operations within metal, iron, or industrial environments
- Supervising equipment utilization, maintenance activities, and motor pool operations
- Implementing workplace safety practices and operational quality standards
B. Job Summary:
The Plant Manager oversees the daily operations of the Valenzuela manufacturing plant by working closely with production personnel, warehouse teams, logistics staff, maintenance personnel, and management to ensure efficient production flow, proper facility operations, and timely delivery of products.The role manages manufacturing processes, plant workforce activities, and operational schedules to maintain productivity, support quality standards, and ensure smooth coordination between production, inventory, and dispatch requirements within the hardware, lumber, and construction supplies business.
The position also coordinates production planning, logistics activities, equipment utilization, and motor pool operations by working with supervisors, operators, suppliers, and support teams to minimize operational delays and improve overall plant efficiency.Through regular monitoring of plant performance, workforce supervision, and coordination with management, the Plant Manager ensures safe and organized operations, proper maintenance of facilities and equipment, consistent production output, and dependable operational support for the company’s business requirements.
C. Duties and Responsibilities:- Oversees daily plant operations and production activities by coordinating closely with production supervisors, warehouse personnel, logistics teams, maintenance staff, and management to ensure efficient workflow, timely production output, and smooth plant operations.
- Manages the manufacturing workforce, plant facilities, and operational schedules by supervising operators, support personnel, and technical staff to maintain productivity, proper manpower utilization, and organized plant operations.
- Coordinates production planning, inventory movement, and logistics requirements with warehouse teams, dispatch personnel, and management to ensure timely availability of materials, efficient delivery scheduling, and continuous operational support.
- Monitors plant performance, production efficiency, and operational concerns by conducting regular plant inspections and working closely with supervisors and technical personnel to address bottlenecks, minimize downtime, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Oversees the maintenance and proper utilization of plant equipment, vehicles, and motor pool resources by coordinating with maintenance personnel, operators, and external service providers to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted plant operations.
- Ensures compliance with company operational standards, workplace safety practices, and production quality requirements by coordinating with plant personnel, management, and support teams to maintain safe working conditions, consistent production quality, and dependable operational performance.
