Purchasing Officer/Merchandiser

Job Description:

• Responsible for sourcing for factories in APAC, with a main focus on China.
• Work between Sales Support & factories on developing products and/or Sampling.
• Negotiate the lead time, MOQ with suppliers.
• Look for opportunities for key programs to ensure we are in the best market position.
• Work closely with team on product design, packaging, inspection, and delivery.
• Ensure the product development processes are smooth and accurate information transfer to all relevant parties.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
• Occasional travel is required (Not a must but a plus).

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in process mapping ideally from a trading environment
• A good balance of structured/holistic thinking with fast moving and pragmatic approach to ensure quick delivery
• Engage and work with aligned operations teams and lines of business to achieve data needs and analysis results more effectively
• Strong communication Skills
• Can work under pressure
• Develop and maintain analytics reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making for the leadership team.
• Ability to understand, create and deliver top-quality, audience-appropriate communication.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving experience

Qualifications:

• 3-4 years of relevant work experience with a merchandising and data analyst background
• Good PC knowledge in using MS office applications, strong Excel experience is preference
• Experience in SAP / Claritum will be an advantage
