Job Description

Responsible for sourcing and acquiring goods, materials, and services at the best possible prices and quality. Their core duties include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, managing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries to maintain optimal stock levels.

1. Sourcing and Vendor Management

• Research and identify potential local and global suppliers.
• Canvass and compare quotes from multiple vendors to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI).
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure reliable service and quick resolutions to disputes

1. Procurement and Purchasing

• Process and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company budgets and financial regulations.
• Forecast demand and monitor inventory levels to avoid stock shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure all delivered goods match the exact specifications and quality standards required by the company.
• Coordinate with delivery teams and warehouse staff to ensure smooth, on-time receiving and proper storage of items.

1. Documentation and Cost Control

• Maintain an updated database of supplier details, invoices, pricing, and delivery logs.
• Analyze purchasing data to prepare cost-analysis reports and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with the finance or accounting team on invoicing issues, processing credit notes, and budget allocation.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, or with 1-3 years of procurement experience, and strong vendor negotiation skills. Essential technical qualifications include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP software (like SAP) is a plus, and a deep understanding of supply chain procedures
