Heavy equipment mechanic

Location: Biasong, Talisay City, Cebu

Qualifications:

• At least High School Graduate, Vocational Graduate, or TESDA Certified in Automotive, Diesel Engine, or Heavy Equipment Servicing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Truck Mechanic, or Diesel Mechanic.
• Knowledgeable in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, dump trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Experienced in diesel engines, transmission systems, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
• Must know how to drive and operate heavy-duty trucks, dump trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and major/minor repairs.
• Physically fit and willing to work on-site.
• Can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license with appropriate restrictions is preferred.
• Experience handling Shacman dump trucks, backhoes, excavators, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment is an advantage.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty trucks, dump trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
• Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify potential mechanical issues before they lead to equipment breakdowns.
• Operate and test-drive trucks and equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Respond to equipment and vehicle breakdowns and perform field repairs when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, inspections, and parts replacements.
• Monitor the condition of vehicles and equipment and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, maintenance procedures, and operational standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors regarding repair requirements, equipment status, and spare parts availability.
