Accounting Associate

Job Overview

The Accounting Associate will support the accounting and operations team by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in maintaining smooth financial operations for a pharmaceutical distributor specializing in cold chain medicines.

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the company’s accounting system.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers in line with company policies.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely settlement of balances.
• Assist in bank reconciliations, including transactions through BPI and other approved channels.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized documentation of financial records for auditing and compliance purposes.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments regarding billing and payment concerns.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company accounting standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements is an advantage.
