PRIMARY DUTIES
  1. Understands processes and familiarizes with the procedures, protocols, and requirements in Operations.
  2. Reviews existing reports generated from various operational activities.
  3. Studies, prepares, develops, revises/improves, and updates processes, procedures, reports, and guidelines related to operational processes and management, which are necessary to make the Operations Department more efficient.
  4. Conducts process and procedure documentation.
  5. Assists in the preparation of operational reports and templates for management’s use.
  6. Assists in updating the Operation’s organizational structure, other reports/analyses as needed by management, to include the preparation of various Profit and Loss Analyses for different activities/businesses, as instructed by management.
  7. Conducts necessary feasibility studies/project studies related to a problem identified by the Operations department and as instructed by his/her immediate superior.
  8. Submits report to his/her direct superior for updates and ultimately presents the completed study to the Operations Department for evaluation.
  9. Takes part in the regular planning sessions for port operations, including but not limited to berthing, vessel and volume profiling, productivity analysis, policies, and preparation of reports and analysis for operations.
  10. Takes part in the preparation of operations plan and projections in terms of volume projections, equipment requirements projection, yard capacity projections, and other requirements, and conducts the necessary revisions as may be instructed by management.
  11. Assists in the preparation of Management Reports including the presentation materials.
  12. Conducts special projects in coordination with other Departments in respect to the achievement of overall targets and improvement of departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines affecting operational productivity.
  13. Performs other duties at a similar level of skill and complexity that may be assigned by the immediate superior
Qualifications/Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree holder, preferably an Industrial Engineer (IE) or any other related course.
  2. Knowledge in port industry is an advantage.
  3. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  4. Superior management and organizational skills
  5. Diligent and highly trainable.
  6. Efficient presentation and communication skills
  7. The capacity to handle work stress and meet project deadlines
  8. Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities.
