Schillings Finance Corporation is in need of a:
(1) DOCUMENTATION ASSISTANT
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or any related field.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in loan documentation, financial services, banking, lending, or related administrative functions is preferred.
- Experience handling loan processing, documentation, or customer/client servicing is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Competent in document scanning, electronic filing, and maintaining organized records for audit readiness.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and concerns.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with clients, Loan Officers, and internal departments.
- Ability to provide clear updates regarding loan status, approval progress, and release schedules.
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive client and financial information.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving lending policies and operational systems.
- Handle and respond promptly to client inquiries, concerns, and documentation-related requests.
- Provide updates to clients regarding loan status, approval progress, and release schedules.
- Coordinate closely with Loan Officers and other departments to ensure smooth processing and timely communication.
- Oversee the processing of loan applications for the Teacher’s Loan Program (TLP) and Real Estate Mortgage (REM) accounts.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper verification of all loan requirements prior to endorsement to the Credit Investigation (CI) Department.
- Prepare and review legal loan documents prior to release to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate the printing and proper handling of clients’ post-dated checks (PDCs) upon loan release.
- Prepare and submit monthly booking reports and other required operational reports.
- Print and maintain updated client ledgers to support the Collections Department database.
- Maintain and update record books and documentation logs.
- Ensure proper scanning, filing, and safekeeping of loan documents for audit readiness and data security.
- Ensure effective coordination within the documentation team and across departments to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in all loan documentation processes.
