Assistant IT Manager
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade company hardware, software, systems, and networks
- Monitor performance of computers, servers, and networks; troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly
- Provide technical support to users via phone, remote access, live chat, or in person
- Set up and manage user accounts, workstations, and peripheral devices
- Diagnose, repair, and replace IT equipment including laptops, switches, CCTV, RFID, and peripherals
- Manage servers, networks, Wi‑Fi, email, domains, antivirus, cloud services (G Suite), CCTV, UPS, and smart systems
- Ensure system security, data privacy, licensing compliance, backups, and disaster recovery procedures
- Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, policies, and user guidelines
- Test, implement, and support new technologies and system improvements
- Collaborate with departments and management on IT projects, reporting, budgeting, and vendor evaluation
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the MIS Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Relevant certifications: CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, etc. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of current IT standards, tools, and best practices
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in IT operations, technical support, or system administration
- Minimum of 2 years Hands-on experience in managing and supporting IT infrastructure (servers, networks, desktops, printers)
- Minimum of 2 years Proven experience in user support and helpdesk operations, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Minimum of 2 years experience/exposure to information security practices, including antivirus management, patching, access controls, and data protection
- Minimum of 2 years experience in data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Familiarity with IT asset management, inventory control, and software licensing
