- About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly capable Credit Assistant with experience in the Australian mortgage lending environment who can support the credit process from application through to settlement with accuracy, urgency, and strong attention to detail.
You’ll play an important part in preparing files for assessment, reviewing supporting documents, coordinating outstanding requirements, and helping ensure applications progress smoothly through approval and settlement stages.

- What You’ll Be Doing
- Review loan applications and supporting documents to ensure completeness and readiness for assessment.
- Verify income, liabilities, bank statements, and other documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in basic credit assessment by supporting servicing checks and lender requirements.
- Track outstanding conditions and follow up required documents to progress applications.
- Support settlement activities including loan documents, funding requirements, insurance, and discharge coordination.
- Coordinate with brokers, lenders, solicitors, and clients to ensure smooth file progression.
- Maintain accurate CRM updates, pipeline tracking, and post-settlement records.
- Experience within the Australian mortgage lending environment in credit support, loan processing, or settlements.
- Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, servicing basics, and lender requirements.
- Experience reviewing pay slips, bank statements, tax documents, and supporting financial records.
- Exposure to settlement coordination or post-approval processing is highly desirable.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
