MAINTENANCE HEAD

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Head will oversee all maintenance activities for a restaurant, including event spaces and guest rooms. This role is crucial in ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained, safe, and inviting for guests, while also managing a team of maintenance professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and train the maintenance team to ensure their effectiveness and adherence to safety protocols.
  2. Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to keep all restaurant equipment, event facilities, and guest rooms in optimal condition.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of the premises, identifying and addressing any maintenance issues proactively.
  4. Coordinate repairs and maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, and general upkeep of facilities.
  5. Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring necessary tools and materials are readily available.
  6. Create and maintain a maintenance schedule that minimizes disruption during business hours, particularly during events and peak dining times.
  7. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and local codes across all areas of the restaurant and facilities.
  8. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from kitchen staff, event coordinators, and guests to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  9. Develop and manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and seeking cost-effective solutions for repairs and upkeep.
  10. Oversee the execution of special projects, such as renovations and upgrades of guest rooms and event spaces.
  11. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to align maintenance efforts with business goals and guest experience enhancements.
  12. Maintain records of maintenance activities, including repairs, service schedules, and compliance checks.
  13. Implement energy efficiency initiatives to reduce costs and promote sustainability within the restaurant and hotel operations.
  14. Evaluate vendor contracts and services for maintenance supplies and third-party service providers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  15. Report on maintenance performance metrics to upper management and recommend improvements or additional resources as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of building systems, equipment maintenance, and safety regulations.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
