IT Risk Officer
Job Description
A leading financial institution is seeking an IT Risk Officer to join its team in Makati City. What you'll do:
- Evaluate IT controls and risk management practices, recommending improvements to strengthen internal controls.
- Assess IT infrastructure, applications, and networks for vulnerabilities and recommend risk mitigation measures.
- Monitor IT risks, issues, incidents, and KRIs, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.
- Maintain technology risk documentation and ensure risk and control owners understand their responsibilities.
- Support post-implementation reviews, regulatory impact assessments, and updates to internal procedures.
- Prepare technology risk reports and management information for senior leadership.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of IT Risk experience within the banking or financial services industry; second or third line of defence experience preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CISM, CRISC, or CISA are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance, IT controls, risk assessment, cybersecurity, and vendor risk management.
- Experience in system development, database management, business continuity, and IT regulatory compliance (BSP MORB).
- Familiarity with Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, SIEM, vulnerability management, patch management, and EDR tools.
