GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding

employees, all while factoring in the long-term goals of an organization. They also must ensure that current

employees are satisfied in their positions, and promote the company’s brand through recruitment initiatives and

events. Essentially, their role is to help grow the talent in a company by finding and nurturing the most suitable

people to contribute to a company’s future success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled; reviews job descriptions
for vacancies.
  • Assists with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions.
  • Reviews manpower requisitions and employment applications to match applicants with job requirements
  • Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates.
  • Create recruitment advertisements; posts and/or places ads in the most effective digital and/or print
media for open positions.
  • Identifies appropriate candidates and assesses their qualifications through a review of their resumes,
interviews, and other forms of communication.
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
  • Provides advice to hiring managers regarding salary negotiations with final candidates.
  • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to

share with key stakeholders

management to organizational needs.
  • Job Analysis, Description, and Competency Profile Development – Ability to apply existing

processes in job analysis, job description preparation, qualification standards, and competency

development.
  • Problem Analysis – Ability to identify issues, analyze relevant information, and determine possible
causes and solutions.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Critical Thinking – Ability to evaluate information objectively and make sound decisions.
  • Organization & Time Management — Managing tasks, time, and coordination efficiently
  • Monitoring & Attention to Detail — Ensuring accuracy and improving performance
  • Confidentiality — Handling sensitive information responsibly
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • At least 5 years of experience in talent acquisition (calibration, sourcing to onboarding) or a similar HR
role
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment, including various interview and candidate evaluation methods
  • Proficient in using social media platforms, CV databases, and professional networks for sourcing
candidates
  • Hands-on experience with job portals such as JobStreet, Indeed, and LinkedIn
  • Experience in coordinating and managing service providers and university partnerships
  • Skilled in process documentation and staying updated on recruitment and industry trends
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
