About the role

As Store Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our retail operations and maintaining the quality of our janitorial services offerings. You will report to senior management and be responsible for overseeing daily store activities, staff performance, and customer satisfaction.

1. Oversee daily store operations and ensure all activities run smoothly and efficiently
2. Supervise and manage store staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation
3. Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of products and supplies at all times
4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
5. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolution
6. Manage cash registers and financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and security of funds
7. Implement and maintain company policies and procedures across all store operations
8. Conduct stock takes and maintain accurate records of inventory movements
9. Report to management on store performance, sales trends, and operational challenges
10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and product availability

1. Proven experience in retail store management or supervisory roles, preferably in a similar industry
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
3. Excellent organisational and time management abilities
4. Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
5. Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures
6. Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills
7. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required
8. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
10. High school diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in retail management or business administration are advantageous
11. Knowledge of janitorial services and products is preferred but not essential
