Job Summary:

As a Painter/Sprayer at P&B Valises, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various wood and metal furmitures, ensuring a high-quality, professional finish. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various painting tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
• Select and mix paint, stains, and other finishes to achieve desired colors and textures.
• Apply paint, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Ensure proper application techniques to achieve smooth and even coverage.
• Protect non-painted surfaces by masking or covering them to prevent accidental splatters or drips.
• Inspect work to ensure quality and consistency, making necessary touch-ups or adjustments.
• Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure project specifications are met.
• Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a painter/sprayer or similar role.
• Proficiency in using various painting tools and equipment, including sprayers, brushes, and rollers.
• Strong knowledge of paint types, finishes, and application techniques.
• Ability to prepare surfaces properly for painting.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and specifications.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in painting or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications or training in painting and coating processes is a plus.

Expected hours: 48 per week
