Branch Accounting Specialist
Job Summary
The Branch Accounting Specialist ensures financial accuracy and operational efficiency within the branch. This role handles account reconciliation, customer payments and deductions, expense tracking, revolving funds management, and administrative support.Strong attention to detail, organization, and accounting proficiency are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Revolving Funds Management
- Monitor, disburse, and replenish revolving funds within budget limits
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of fund usage
- Prepare periodic reports on fund utilization
- Customer Payments & Deductions
- Record and process customer payments and deductions
- Manage RTVs, create Return Sales Orders, and encode SKU details
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies
- Monitor receivables and provide aging reports
- Invoice & Expense Verification
- Record and classify branch expenses accurately
- Perform monthly expense reconciliations
- Analyze expense trends and recommend cost-saving measures
- Inventory Management
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Customer Deposits Handling
- Process and deposit customer checks promptly
- Handle and verify cash collections from distribution teams
- Perform daily reconciliation and resolve discrepancies
- Administrative & Compliance Support
- Maintain fixed asset records and ensure compliance with policies
- Act as Safety Officer and ensure regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with compliance teams for permits and tax requirements
- Support enforcement of company financial policies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in General Accounting
- Knowledge of accounting processes and branch operations
- SAP proficiency is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
