Job Title: Thermo Technician / Thermal Systems Technician
Job Summary:The Thermo Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing thermal, heating, cooling, refrigeration, and temperature-control systems. The role ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Install, inspect, and commission thermal and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on heating, cooling, and temperature-control systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related faults.
- Conduct leak detection, recovery, evacuation, and refrigerant charging procedures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Replace defective components such as compressors, motors, belts, hoses, batteries, sensors, and control devices.
- Calibrate temperature, pressure, and control instruments.
- Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and work orders.
- Follow safety regulations, environmental standards, and company procedures.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to resolve equipment issues.
- Diploma, TESDA certification, or Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology, HVAC/R, Refrigeration, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, thermal systems, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, multimeters, gauges, and testing equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and service manuals.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and field assignments when required.
