Your Role:
- Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Conduct month end processes related to sales and margin.
- Consolidate and analyse business performance, providing insightful commentary.
- Maintain and enhance reporting dashboards and performance reports using Power BI and Excel.
- Prepare KPIs and key performance reports for sales team and management.
- Monitor product, customer, and channel profitability to highlight risks and opportunities.
- Commercial Insights, Business Partnering & Performance Optimisation
- Provide robust financial analysis and modelling to support commercial decision-making across product lines, customer segments, and suppliers.
- Conduct profitability assessments, margin analysis, and scenario modelling to identify growth and efficiency opportunities.
- Support the development of business cases for pricing, supplier negotiations, customer initiatives, and capital investment decisions.
- Maintain and enhance pricing benchmarks and models to support strategic pricing decisions.
- Evaluate the financial impact of external market and economic factors (e.g., exchange rates, raw material costs, tariffs) on business performance.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that underpin financial and commercial performance.
- Analyse trends in KPIs and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Sales teams to interpret KPI outcomes and co-develop action plans that improve revenue, margin, and customer profitability.
- Ensure financial insights and performance commentary are clearly communicated and consistently interpreted across functions.
- Act as a trusted finance partner to stakeholders, providing value-added insights, recommendations, and strategic support.
- Data Management, Reporting Systems & Dashboarding
- Own and maintain financial and commercial master data files (e.g. customer hierarchy, product categories, sales channels, cost centres) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment across reporting systems.
- Collaborate with IT, BI teams, and business stakeholders to manage and govern master data structures (e.g., naming conventions, hierarchy integrity).
- Support the ongoing maintenance of financial and commercial hierarchies (e.g., customer groupings, product segments) to enable meaningful analysis and reporting.
- Develop and maintain self-service dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide clear visibility of business performance across key metrics.
- Continuously improve existing dashboards and reporting tools by incorporating feedback from end users and adapting to changing business requirements.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across reporting tools, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies in source systems or data feeds.
- Support the transition from manual to automated reporting processes by building scalable and sustainable reporting infrastructure.
- Act as a subject matter expert in data governance practices within the finance function, ensuring reporting systems are aligned with business structure and reporting requirements.
What You Need:
Non-negotiables- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with CPA/CA qualification.
- 5+ years of relevant experience including leadership roles, ideally within a large corporate environment.
- Advanced skills in Excel and TM1
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Pronto) and reporting tools (Power BI)
- Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen.
- Proven ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
