About the role
JUNE is a neighborhood eatery, bistro and natural wine bar set in the heart of BGC. Cuisine is Western with touches of Nordic, Modern New Zealand, and French-Italian influences.
As a Sous Chef at June, you will play a vital role in leading the kitchen team and ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. This full-time position is based in our restaurant located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila.
What you'll be doing- Assist the Executive Chef in the overall management and operation of the kitchen
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team, providing guidance and training to ensure consistent high-quality food production
- Collaborate with the Front of House team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu items and innovative culinary concepts
- Participate in cost control and budgeting initiatives to maximise operational efficiency
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment
- Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of international cuisine, food trends, and presentation techniques
- Strong team management and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and developing kitchen staff
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the Front of House team
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
