RETAIL SALES MANAGER
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Retail Sales Manager to lead and scale our retail channel. This role combines account management and business development, making it ideal for someone who can bridge a strong D2C foundation with a growing retail footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing retail accounts and partnerships.
- Prospect, pitch, and close new retail distribution opportunities.
- Plan and execute a seasonal retail sales calendar aligned with marketing promotions.
- Develop and implement a scalable retail channel strategy tailored to a D2C-first brand.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across all retail channels.
- Analyze retail sales performance and provide data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to ensure seamless retail execution.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail sales, account management, or channel development—preferably in lifestyle brands.
- Demonstrated success managing major retail accounts and securing new retail partnerships.
- Experience in both traditional retail account management and ecommerce.
- Strong understanding of how to maintain brand consistency across channels while adapting to the unique requirements of retail partners.
- Familiarity with D2C-to-retail transitions and omnichannel retail strategies.
- Deep knowledge of retail promotional calendars, merchandising, and buyer expectations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly data-driven with proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics.
