Retail Assistant Manager

What You’ll Do
As Retail Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and monitoring retail strategies, trade activities, and account development initiatives that support sustainable growth and strong market execution.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic retail and trade activities in partnership with distributors, retail accounts, and trade marketing teams
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with key retail accounts and stakeholders
- Lead regular business reviews, in-store activities, and account development initiatives
- Drive growth in sales, profitability, distribution, and product visibility across retail channels
- Identify opportunities for new products, line extensions, and store expansion using market insights and data
- Champion excellent in-store execution through strong merchandising standards and on-shelf availability
- Coach and develop merchandisers and distributor sales teams through regular field visits and training
- Monitor market pricing, competitive activities, and category performance to support business decisions
- Develop reports, account dossiers, and presentations for management updates and business reviews
- Support annual planning and execution of agreed priorities and growth initiatives
- Serve as a trusted business partner between distributor accounts and internal teams
- Take ownership of ad hoc projects and continuously seek opportunities to improve ways of working
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, Retail Execution, or similar FMCG roles
- Dairy industry experience is an advantage
- Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and distributor management
- Analytical and strategic thinker with strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
