Job Summary

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic retail accounts, particularly Watsons and other modern trade partners. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, strengthening client relationships, negotiating business opportunities, and ensuring effective execution of sales and promotional activities.

The ideal candidate is results-driven, highly organized, and experienced in handling FMCG, personal care, or beauty accounts within the modern trade industry.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with Watsons and other assigned key accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client concerns, requirements, and business coordination
  • Conduct regular business reviews and account performance evaluations
  • Ensure excellent account servicing and customer satisfaction
Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales and growth targets
  • Negotiate promotional activities, product listings, trade agreements, and commercial terms
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales, market share, and product visibility
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and retail performance
Trade Execution & Coordination
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding orders, inventory, delivery schedules, and promotional execution
  • Ensure timely submission of reports, forecasts, and account requirements
  • Monitor stock availability and replenishment to avoid out-of-stock situations
  • Ensure proper implementation of promotions and merchandising activities
Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business performance presentations
  • Analyze sales performance and recommend strategic action plans
  • Track promotional effectiveness and return on investment (ROI)
  • Maintain accurate sales and account records
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in Key Account Management or Modern Trade Sales
  • Minimum of exactly 3 years of Key Account Management or Modern Trade Sales experience is required
  • Experience handling Watsons or similar retail accounts is highly preferred
  • Experience handling Watsons or similar retail accounts is strongly preferred for this position
  • Background in FMCG, personal care, beauty, or consumer products industry is an advantage
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Results-driven, analytical, and customer-focused
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Willing to do field work and client visits when necessary
