Location: Tokyo, Japan / Inzai, Japan

This process includes requirements coordination, design review, construction and deployment oversight, and lifecycle support for data center infrastructure.

The Firm is engaging a Data Center Project Management managed service team to provide project coordination, oversight, and delivery support for data center projects in Japan. The service includes coordination with internal stakeholders, data center service providers, and external vendors, delivered as an independent outsourced service.

The service also supports coordination with internal technology teams and oversight of activities such as equipment deployment scheduling, logistics coordination, and capacity planning, as well as budget and timeline tracking.

General Responsibilities of the Project Management Service Team:

• Design, Analysis and Requirement Gathering
• Support RFP and sourcing activities through coordination with internal Sourcing, Legal, and Finance teams
• Support review of whitespace constraints (power and cooling) and preparation of whitespace layout recommendations
• Coordinate installation and restack planning with internal technology teams and data center vendors
• Consolidate hardware requirements inputs from technology teams
• Support calculation and review of rack counts, power, cooling, cabling, and related infrastructure requirements in coordination with appropriate specialists
• Implementation and Deployment
• Provide onsite and remote project oversight services for data center construction and deployment activities, including review of progress updates, defect tracking, and follow‑up coordination with service providers
• Provide coordination support for technology equipment deployment requests, including consolidation of change requests and coordination with relevant execution parties. Physical installation activities, where required, shall be performed by authorized vendors or service providers
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors for equipment delivery scheduling and logistics
• Support coordination with telecommunications vendors for circuit installation activities and testing, including scheduling and witnessing where required
• Support coordination and oversight of network cabling and patching activities performed by authorized vendors, including review of testing outcomes
• Support coordination of equipment decomissioning and disposal activities in accordance with applicable policies, including coordination with disposal vendors and maintenance of required records
• The service may include onsite project oversight activities as required by project needs. Remote support may also be provided as appropriate. All deployment and execution activities remain the responsibility of authorized vendors
• Project Management and Documentation
• Provide project planning services, including development and maintenance of project schedules, milestones, and budget tracking
• Provide regular project status reporting and meeting summaries to designated stakeholders
• Support updates to inventory management systems and rack elevation documentation based on information provided by vendors and internal teams
• Consolidate project‑related data for management and operational reporting, including capacity tracking, budget forecasts, project expenditures, vendor coordination, and deployment status
• Support management of project documentation repositories (e.g. SharePoint), including document organization and version maintenance

Service Capability Requirements

The Service Provider shall ensure its service organization has the capability to:

• Deliver services in both English and Japanese
• Provide project management services for mission‑critical data center environments
• Support data center buildout, deployment, testing, commissioning, and handover projects
• Understand data center infrastructure, resiliency design, and whitespace planning principles
• Operate structured project management and reporting processes
