Job Description
Biosite Medical Instruments, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated, results-driven, and people-oriented District Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales operations in South Mindanao.
The District Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving district sales targets, expanding market coverage, developing key healthcare accounts, and ensuring the effective performance of the assigned sales team. This role requires a strong field sales leader who can drive business growth, coach sales representatives, build professional customer relationships, and execute sales strategies within the assigned territory.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in medical sales, preferably with exposure to In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD), laboratory diagnostics, medical devices, hospital equipment, or healthcare-related products. This role is best suited for a candidate with an allied healthcare educational background, strong leadership ability, excellent account management skills, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve and exceed district sales targets, revenue goals, and business objectives within the South Mindanao territory.
Lead, manage, coach, and monitor a team of Medical Sales Representatives/Agents to ensure strong productivity, territory coverage, and sales performance.
Develop and implement effective sales plans, account strategies, and territory development initiatives.
Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities among hospitals, laboratories, diagnostic centers, clinics, and healthcare institutions.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with hospital administrators, laboratory heads, pathologists, doctors, procurement officers, and other key decision-makers.
Conduct regular field coaching, joint visits, mentoring, and performance discussions to strengthen the selling skills and account management capabilities of the team.
Promote Biosite’s IVD, diagnostic, laboratory, and medical device product portfolio through proper product positioning and customer engagement.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, customer requirements, and business opportunities to support effective sales planning.
Analyze sales data, monitor team performance, prepare reports, and recommend action plans to improve district results.
Coordinate with internal departments such as Product Management, Application Specialists, Technical Service, Supply Chain, and Management to ensure excellent customer service and business support.
Ensure proper implementation of sales programs, product campaigns, and demand generation activities within the assigned district.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in an allied healthcare field, preferably Medical Technology, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biology, Life Sciences, Respiratory Therapy, Radiologic Technology, or other related medical or healthcare course.
At least 3 to 5 years of solid medical sales experience, preferably in IVD, laboratory diagnostics, medical devices, hospital equipment, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales.
With proven people management, supervisory, or sales leadership experience, preferably handling Medical Sales Representatives, Sales Agents, or territory-based sales teams.
Must be based in South Mindanao or nearby areas within the assigned territory.
Strong background in handling hospitals, laboratories, diagnostic centers, clinics, procurement units, and healthcare institutions.
Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong key account management and relationship-building skills.
Capable of analyzing sales performance, monitoring market trends, and implementing effective sales action plans.
Highly target-driven, organized, proactive, resilient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willing to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
